I attended The Apple Butter & Jelly Making Class at The Works Seattle last October.
I had met the owner, Kellie, at monthly meet up for women entrepreneurs a few weeks prior and loved the idea!
Here are pictures of my experience attending a class at The Works.
I’ll definitely be back.
I have very aspirational Pinterest boards right now and I feel like The Works can help those ideas come to life.
What is The Works Seattle?
The Works is a place for crafty people and wannabe crafty people like me, to come together and learn something new.
What types of classes does The Works offer?
The Works holds food and drink classes such as a Sourdough bread baking class and cocktail mixing class.
They have crafting classes too such as a hand lettering class and a holiday wreath making class.
They also host events. They hosted a talk about minimizing our impact on the environment and for the holidays they hosted a cookie swap. The cookie swap sold out quickly and I was bummed!
Where is the Works located?
The Works is located at 151 12th street in downtown Seattle.
You can park on the street. We were able to find parking on a residential street behind The Works.
What is the format of the classes?
The Works location is small and cozy and the class sizes are small and cozy.
There were about 10 of us sitting around a long table and we cooked together as a group.
A super down-to-earth instructor led the class and gave us fun tips and tricks from her experience.
The entire class took about 2 hours.
Who attends The Works Classes?
The class I attended was all women of varying ages and my husband but he had a great time!
I brought my sister with me too but you can definitely go alone and meet people there.
See all of The Works classes on their website here.
What is your favorite Seattle class or activity? Have you been to The Works?
