When it comes to Halloween, there are many schools of thought. Some people believe that only children should dress up. Others think, the more, the merrier.
If you’re one of the adults that want to dress up, you’re not alone, it’s been a trend for a while. In 2014, Psychology Today reported that 64% of adults dressed up for Halloween. Meanwhile, Yahoo! Finance reported that Americans spent about $86 apiece on Halloween candy, costumes, and decorations in 2019. That adds up to about $8.8 billion.
As you’re debating which Halloween costume to wear this year, give serious consideration to a classic. A witch is versatile and works on many levels, from old school scary to pop culture chic. When it comes to dressing like a witch, there’s a lot more to it than a pointy hat and a broom. In fact, it’s the makeup that makes or breaks the costume.
Below are a variety of makeup tutorials for almost every kind of witch. One of them is sure to fit whatever Halloween party you’re going to.
