It didn’t make sense to me to spend such a huge amount of money on a 5 hour wedding, so when my husband and I got married we decided to stick to a budget of $15,000. Saving on wedding costs was challenging but doable. The wedding was amazing though, the food was delicious, and we had some amazing pictures. For half the price! Nowadays a $30,000 wedding is considered the norm. Seriously, the national average for … [Read more...] about 10 Creative Ways I Cut Wedding Costs for my $15k Wedding

I was a little nervous that we wouldn’t be able to serve great food at our wedding for a reasonable price. With a $10,000 budget and a 110 person guest list, we needed to be way below $100 a person. Even $75 per … [Read more...] about A Very Frugal Wedding: Saving on Food and Photos

My fiancé and I got engaged in September of last year. Less than an hour after getting engaged, we started calling friends and family to let them know and to share in our excitement. That is when the questions started coming in. When are you getting married? Where are you getting married? Hold on, people!! We've been engaged less than an hour. How do we know at this point?    1.  Keep Your Focus … [Read more...] about A Very Frugal Wedding: Setting a Budget
